Just finished reading issue 1 of "Gaku" by Ishizuka Shinichi. It's a great manga about a Mountain Search and Rescue volunteer working in the Japan Alps. Japanese manga are great for taking "mundane" subjects and weaving them together with little slices of moving human drama. Good stuff.Goodreads
