Imagine Your Perfect Setting...

I haven't been posting much over at Story-Games lately. In fact, I haven't even been reading many of the threads. It could be because I'm in a pretty smooth gaming period where I'm content to just play and don't have any "big ideas", or because I feel like the tenor of the conversation over there has changed somehow with all the new people around. The end result is the same - not much over there is jumping out at me lately.

That being said, jenskot asked a very obvious but strangely compelling question today.

Imagine playing in your perfect setting.

What does it look like?
Who are you playing?
What are you doing?

Tell me more!
My own answer is like Shangri-la - mythical and ideal. It's a laundry list of things I like to see in games, some of which are probably mutually exclusive. Still answering tells us a lot about what we want to be doing at the moment. It was quite interesting for me to bang out those answers and then go back over my list slowly and give it some consideration.

So, how about you? I'd love to hear your answers there, or here.
